It’s worth telling. We’ll educate others by sharing your story anonymously.
We want to hear about your experience which highlights a rule you’ve been unjustly asked to live by. Whether it be an incident at work, school, on your travels, while shopping or interacting with law enforcement. Tell us how these experiences have shaped your life.
Please leave out or change the names of real people and companies. We may not share every story submitted, but for the ones we do, we will post your story anonymously on our site and Instagram to educate and shed light on the realities of these unwritten rules.
Here’s an example:
“When I was younger, I was browsing in a nice department store and was followed, then approached by an employee. She asked if I intended on purchasing anything today. Then asked if I could leave if I wasn’t. I was the only Black person there; I was humiliated.”
